Dolly Parton is very thrilled, having taken part in funding one of the leading COVID-19 vaccine trials.
The country music singer donated $1 million to Nashville’s Vanderbilt University Medical Center to aid coronavirus vaccine research. The Dolly Parton COVID-19 Research was on Monday listed as one of the significant donors by Moderna.
During an interview on Today, Parton said,” I am happy that anything I do helps somebody. When I donated the COVID-19 fund, I wanted it to do good” The singer announced that she donated, being informed about the vaccine by her long-time friend Dr. Naji Abumra who said they were making some exciting advancements.
Moderna announced that it is producing a 95% percent effective Coronavirus vaccine. Moderna also said they would potentially make about 1 billion doses by the end of 2021. Dr.Fauci said that the vaccinations could begin as soon as December.
