The end of September has never been busy with celebrity engagements filling the air. The late 20s have been filled with emergent engagements like Brittney Nicole Hoyt, who said yes to Jake Hoot on September 20, and Charlie McDowell who put a ring on Lily Collins on September 25.
Jasmine Tookes took the surprise to her Instagram account, revealing that she is engaged to her boyfriend of four years, Juan David Borrero.
The engagement comes after the two had a trip to a desert in Utah, where Borrero posed the question.
“Si, mi amor! 💗 We’re engaged!!” read Tookes’ Instagram post. Tookes showed off her elegant oval cut diamond ring, and hundreds of thousands of her fans couldn’t hide their love for the ring.
“😍😍😍😍 congrats babes!!! ❤️” commented Hailey Beiber
“OMG CONGRATULATIONS ❣️🥰❤️” added Martha Hunt.
Thousands of good wishes continued to pour in as thousands of ladies showed admiration for the ring.
The thin banded silhouette is made up of diamond and plated with 18K yellow gold. It was delivered by a drone during the proposal.
Elongated diamond cuts have recently risen in popularity, up to 4 times faster than other diamond ring types in the last six months, according to Kathryn Money, an engagement ring expert at Brilliant Earth.
Similarly, the yellow gold plated rings have seen an uptick and have been seen with celebs like Meghan Markle and Jojo Fletcher. Kathryn notes that yellow gold has grown three times faster than other metals.
The two are yet to announce the date for their wedding, although Vogue hints that it will take place in Borrero’s hometown, in Ecuador.
