Hong Kong’s Magnificent Jewels auction will present precious and antique jewelry with extraordinary gems taking the center of the stage. The auctioning is set to be held live on October 7.
The exceptional Unheated ‘’Royal Blue’’ 118.88- Carat Burmese Sapphire will lead the auction.
Pear-shaped diamond pendants surround the cushion-shaped Burmese. The company said that it is the largest Sapphire to be auctioned at Sotheby in the last 20 years.
‘’The precious Burmese sapphire is expected to sell for over $5 million,’’ Sotheby said.
The October 7 auction will have 118 lots featuring different colored diamonds and gemstones from contemporary Hong Kong jewelers.
Another potential top lot sale is a fancy vivid blue 4.84-carat ring. The ring has two pear-shaped diamond accents of 1.10 carats in pink gold and platinum.
The ring’s estimated sale is between $7.2 and $8.5 million.
